Due to a flight cancellation, Kevin Hines’ planned Tuesday night appearance at Penn College has been postponed. Organizers hope to reschedule the suicide-prevention speaker’s presentation; we will let you know as soon as we have more information.

 

He survived a jump off the Golden Gate Bridge and now travels to share his story about his own struggles with mental illness

“The first full week in October is set aside as national Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) in the United States.  Began by an act of the U.S. Congress in 1990, MIAW recognizes the efforts of the National Alliance on Mental Illness to help raise awareness of these conditions.  Also known more commonly today as Mental Health Awareness Week, more information about it and the various events surrounding this observance may be found here.
